A Hoop On A Stick – Hand Embroidery Tool Review
This is the head that is attached to the inner ring of the hoop, which fits into the top of the stick, which slides through the hole in the base, which is supported by the paddle you sit on. My impressions of the seated hoop, summarizedI have to admit that after my first experience with a really cheap and cheesy seated hoop stand, I wasn't too big of a fan of these contraptions. But since I didn't have a good one, and since I've never seen one here on Needle 'n Thread again, I thought it was worth investing in a quality seated hoop stand and to try it. And I can't wait to try it with drum embroidery...
It's a wonderful tool, well worth the investment, and an affordable substitute for a floor stand, for projects that can be worked in circles. From now on, if I embroider with a hoop, I will use this seated support. United Kingdom:
The Crewel Work Company sells a similar seated hoop stand with interchangeable hoops, included in the price. In Australia:
Australian Needle Arts offers the Klass & Gessmann seated hoop holder, like the one reviewed. Vetty Creations (Yvette Stanton) also sells the same seated hoop stand, with the different sizes of interchangeable hoops also available.
